The Revenge of Flash Friday - It's ALIVE! Anatomy Arcade "makes basic human anatomy come ALIVE through awesome free flash games, interactives and videos." There are two timed games: Whack-A-Bone and Poke-A-Muscle (both feature auto-playing music, but you can turn it off in PAM). For less stress, there are jigsaw puzzles to help you get familiar with the digestive system, skeletal system, muscular system, the brain, the eye and the heart. (Via everlasting blort)

"Flash" and "Anatomy" is a combination of words seemingly designed to be hilariously misunderstood.

PAM was like 4 easy levels, one hard level, and one level that took me like five embarrassing tries. I'm excited to find new (to me) muscles that I haven't found isolation exercises for after incorporating weird things like infraspinatus cable pulls in the gym already.

The thing I immediately thought of was the game "Life & Death" (which despite this awesome color screenshot, I only ever played in black and white, which I think increased the difficulty level; if you also came to this thread thinking of this, I am commenting so you don't have to spend your time searching.

Oh man, that game. I played more of the sequel, if by played you mean "was repeatedly fired for poking people in the eye and drilling randomly into people's skulls".

Hmm. I wasn't going to be studying for my Back & Thorax exam right now anyway, so if I play these games, maybe it might help a teensy bit even by accident?

Let's investigate.

(By the way, the answer to that is no, it won't help. Not at all.)
