Daniel Tomlin, a gardener from Kelowna, British Columbia, claims he has grown the world's longest cucumber. According to Guinness World Records, the cucumber that currently holds the world record for longest ever grown measured "107 cm (42.1 in) and was grown by Ian Neale of Wales, UK. It was presented at the Bath & West Showground in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, UK, on 26 September 2011." Tomlin's cucumber measures just over one metre (44.5 inches). posted by mandolin conspiracy (10 comments total) 1 user marked this as a favorite

Yeah, that's the glorious thing about the metric system. One can read a length like 107cm and instantly know that it's a bit longer than a meter.

I love that he isn't just going to make the largest pickle, he has constructed a special fermentation chamber out of flowerpots in order to lactoferment the worlds largest pickle.

Assuming super-dank 5mm slices and a modest 4-slice-per-burger rule to conserve pickle supplies, THAT'S ABOUT 50 BURGERS WORTH OF PICKLE. If you stacked them on top of each other and put them on a space shuttle, they would feed the crew from here TO THE MOON AND BACK!
