Gonna form something similar except with middle-class dads on cargo bikes hanging out after the school run.

Ugh, I read this as "The Underground Kitty Gangs of Los Angeles" and now I'm sad and disappointed. But still a cool article.

Just not as cool as a gang of biker cats roving around at night terrorizing citizens.

Excellent. My YMCA has a bike club for kids to teach them how to ride; add this kind of thing to city and county youth programs as well to start it bubbling up.

“You ride at your own risk,” said Angel Rodriguez, 21, a competitor awaiting the start signal. “Once you realise you’ve just missed a car you get an adrenaline rush.” Is near death a deterrent? He shook his head and grinned. “You use that. You convert that into more speed.”

Spoken like a true 21-year old. Still and all, though, this is really interesting and cool.

This is cool. There's a documentary in the works about the Ovarian Psychos.
