Is the web on it's deathbed?

With adblockers at Number one on the app store, iOS9 natively blocking ads in Safari and Facebook pushing 'Instant' as the only way for it's billions of users to get their news, the web as we know it is on it's last legs. What does that mean for innovation? What happens to the smaller publishers? The passionate niche bloggers? Specialist industry news? Apple make their money from selling hardware. Facebook from it's own targeted ads and they both want to strangle Google's revenue stream and therefore the revenue streams that fund huge swathes of the Internet. What happens next? Who will win the battle?
