Video-conferencing from the comfort of your own car. Internet connectivity? I just hope that someone is paying attention to the road. Is this something that we really need?

Car != Office. And, while we're at it, Car != Bathroom. If it takes your eyes off the road or your hands off the wheel, you shouldn't be doing it in the car. Is it so much to ask?

I was more referring to the people who apply make-up, fix hair, shave, etc. in the car.

Your particular situation wouldn't really bother me since you really neither have to stop watching the road nor remove your hands from the steering wheel. And, as a bonus, you don't have to deal with pesky people asking you for rides.
