anyone recognize john grey (mars/venus) in that photo? He used to be a big proponent of yogic flying, until he bought a phd from an unaccredited university and began calling himself a therapist.

Heh, that's great. It's not photoshopped though-- what they do is leap up in that position but then claim that for one infinitesimal moment they are in fact levitating. Me & my brother had a lot of fun doing this same mystic trick with no training! We are obviously undiscovered lamas, yogis, etc.

Or they could've just sat upon a clear stool. I have to admit that I spent over 3 minutes at the site trying to look for more stuff on the levitation. Needless to say, I was unsuccessful.

I dunno, my swami (Swami Steve) sez that bliss can't be bought by money, only through doing chores in his yard. Mowing the grass, washing his car, etc., I have let his mantra guide me: "I believe in Swami Steve." I reccommend you all to read "Zen and the Art of Washing Steve's Car," very enlightening.

TM is a funky business. In the late 60's/early 70's, it was THE meditation method of choice for the gliterati of the time (the Beatles for example....). Unlike Scientology, they aren't quite as defensive about their inner secrets being shared about, perhaps because the method is simplicity in of itself. As far as meditation techniques go, it's similar to many traditional methods, and shows the same affects. Near St Louis there's a judge who sentences violent offenders to study TM, because of its well docoumented calming of a prison populations. But in all the years I've practiced, I've never flown...well, not physically.... I was not into the lifestyle of a guru-follower .
