In advance, to honor Banned Book Week.

I bring you some hubbub that is happening right now. A public school that sits close to the Jersey shore finds its English curricula the subject of a petition about the inclusion and role of (School Board approved) challenging texts in some of its advanced courses. A few books in particular are being targeted for their language and content by a parent who lives in this community via an online petition. The students, both present and past, have responded.

So many thoughts as this has transpired, not limited to "Yay students!" but, I mean, "Go Students!"
(I am always a little cautious about pot-stirring, but I think that fair citizens of the blue would see the hullabaloo for what it is.)
