Some Friday afternoon inspiration and reminder that everything will be okay: Time to Level Up. Here are the lyrics. Here's more info on Tommy Guns, one of the dancers in the video.

The remarkable Vienna Teng, previously.

God, I love this song so much. There's also a really good Pacific Rim fanvid set to this song that works really well.

I love this video. Sort of like if Hal Hartley, Michel Gondry & Paul Haggis directed a contact improv session with a side order of Bob Fosse.

<3 the entire album, really. It's been really interesting to see various interpretations/versions of Hymn of Acxiom in particular.

CrystalDave, do you have any links to Hymn of Acxiom covers? I love the lyrics to that one.

Yay Vienna Teng! And the video is so powerful.

I'm gonna put on Aims and get a much-needed mood boost now. Thanks, jbickers!

Vocal Art Ensemble of Sweden (Much more church-choral, one of my favorite covers)
Bluecoats Marching Band/Choir
Virtual Choir (Apt, given the topic manner)
Oregon Crusaders Drum Corps promo reel (It appears to be getting popular in marching band competitions)

Thanks, I really needed this song today. (I'd heard of it before but lost track of it).

"let your faith die.
bring your wonder."
Works for me. Thanks for the reminder.

Very uplifting, inspiring for the sake of the human spirit. It was artfully done. I really liked it a lot. A message of hope in overcoming adversity Powerful. In spirit only and sentiment it reminded me of Gino Vannelli and Niels Lan Dok's song "Close your Eyes and See", a song with a lot more power that, is admittedly, more like an anthem. Yet the magic and beauty and hopefulness is similar and unmistakable. ("In you lies a seeker yet unborn").Check it out!

Give the aforementioned Gino and Neils tune time to develop. It takes a while to totally open up. But you'll be rewarded if you just take your time and let it unfold.

Wow, the pairing of those entirely personal, inward lyrics with images of a homeless woman and a couple whose home has been destroyed is incredibly tasteless. Just begin again, homeless woman! Don't be afraid!
