All these thing, they're just disappointing compared to you

John Grant [previously] has a new album coming out soon, Grey Tickles, Black Pressure. He released the lead video, Disappointing [NSFW], a while back, but it might have flown under your radar. It certainly did mine.

Quite possibly my favorite lyric of all time.

I just discovered John Grant and have bought his entire solo catalog on a whim and YES PLEASE. I have been meaning to compose a slightly longer FPP about him because there has been a spate of really great interviews with him in the past few months (mostly British newspapers) but alas, I have not.

Nice. Very nice.

But why NSFW?

But why NSFW?

You may have noticed the mega hot gay bathhouse full of man butt. Maybe not strictly nsfw, but it would certainly make me blush if my mom saw me watching

This has been getting some decent spin on Six Music lately. They certainly like it. Rightly so.

But why NSFW?

Bare ass and the aforementioned underwear shot, plus lots and lots of scenes of guys in a sauna with towels around their waists.

I wish I had access to their barber, because none of the ones here are any good at beard trimming, and every single one of the men in that video had a great beard.

(watches video)

I may be mistaken, but is there a slight... you know... homoerotic undertone?

I think that gym is very close to where I used to work. I recognise the streets and the arches, and I know there was one in the vicinity that came highly recommended to those of a bearish persuasion.

Didn't know there was tea and cake on offer, though.

Given that Grant is gay, I think that's an understatement!

Peak beard of music videos, right there.

Don't forget that you can see John Grant's beard getting some top London barber action in the video for GMF. And no, that's not a link to the appropriate scene. Watch the whole thing. It'll do you good.

Oh man, Disappointing blew me away. I keep getting it stuck in my head, and the only thing that helps is to sing the chorus at my woman or child.

If you're not familiar with his song Paint the Moon with his previous band the Czars, it's (IMO) the best song of his, and one that I can just leave on repeat some days.

They also did a pretty respectable version of Song to the Siren.

oneswellfoop: it's the last tine that is omitted in that gif that is the real payoff:

"Well, wrong for ME."

What boring workplaces y'all are in.
