The current AV site and the new Raging Search site seem to generate the same results. That is minus the banner ads and links to AV-sites. posted by tomalak at 1:24 PM on May 3, 2000
Comes complete with swoosh! posted by baylink at 1:53 PM on May 3, 2000
Bit of a cliche now really isn't it. They should know by now that in this tech-industry there is rarely any room for the 'me-too's. posted by williamtry at 2:04 PM on May 3, 2000
oh come on, now. it has the spiral-swoosh hybrid. it has the mac OSX gummy drop i-dot. it's beveled. it has drop shadows. it has highlights. it has orange for 1998. it has purple for 1995. it uses a compressed sans-serif typeface. it has everything. what more could you want? you people are cruel.
well, anyway, it's better than the google logo. um, that has to be worth a point or two.
if you're looking for truly hideous, 1990-style what-does-this-filter-do? type treatments ... and you KNOW you are ... drag yourself away from the monitor and watch "wheel of fortune" on ABC-TV. you really won't believe your eyes. i've been watching it for several days, now, and they really do keep topping themselves. i needn't point out that this is a major, mainstream, network tv program with a budget. so theoretically, a senior art director with six-figure salary is at least SUPERVISING the work, if not grinding it out herself. posted by Zeldman at 2:14 PM on May 3, 2000
I'm so embarrassed. I mentioned Raging Search in my blog last night and didn't even make the connection to the spiral logo. And such a prime candidate for the critique page too. I must be slipping. posted by grant at 2:32 PM on May 3, 2000
you're slipping, splorpy. posted by Zeldman at 2:36 PM on May 3, 2000
