A New Lost Generation?

Rising morbidity and mortality in midlife among white non-Hispanic Americans in the 21st century. A study by Anne Case and Angus Deaton of Princeton University finds that white people aged 45-54 are dying faster in the US than in any other rich country. Found via the Editor's Blog at Talking Points Memo in which Josh Marshall discusses how this phenomenon may be driving the rise of populist anger in conservative US politics.
