Trump and Muslims

Trump recently called on preventing Muslims from immigrating to this country. The response has drawn condemnation, but with most muslims believing in and wanting Sharia law does it make sense? Sharia law includes stoning, amputations, and the death penalty for insulting Mohammed or the Koran.
