Impressive, the part with the mirror was interesting.

Needs a Beck warning.

Pretty & very smoothly done. Shameless derail for a mention of “Golden Path”, another oddball late-period Chemical Bros. music video featuring a middle-aged male vocalist.

I dunno. Struck me as a really hollow performance. I mean, seriously, after that video, I bet she felt empty inside...

VFX by The Mill, who seem to have stepped up their game since back when they were doing all the Doctor Who VFX.

Now I want a Sonoya Mizuno avatar for the next Deus Ex.

Started to do a slow clap but it made no sound.

Can't say this jumped out as a single listening to Born in the Echoes ... and the video doesn't really do it for me - though it might be a grower. For the moment I much prefer 'Sometimes I Feel So Deserted' and the utterly sublime 'Go' (but then latter is one of my fave songs / vidz for a long time - sucker for the influence of 70s dystopia sf).

Then again it's the Chemicals and even after all these years, there are still better than most EDM / dance music out there. Actually most everything out there.

The music didn't do much for me but the special effects were nicely done.

I dunno. You could get most of the idea of the song in a couple of bars, and most of the video in that one pull shot. Which isn't unusual, and both were competently done, but compare to how much interesting and involving stuff on both fronts was built into Hey Boy, Hey Girl.

mirror is at 3:32 for anyone else who had a sip of tea at that point.

i wonder how many tracking points they used? the legs, at least, don't seem to flex as much as the real thing (is there a "making of" video?)

also, why a separate choreographer? i mean, if you're a dancer isn't it a bit like being micromanaged? (i know no dancers so sorry if this is a dumb question).

Not all actors are directors, not all dancers are choreographers.

VFX by The Mill, who seem to have stepped up their game since back when they were doing all the Doctor Who VFX.

I had always assumed that the Who VFX were deliberately that way as an homage to the shoestring budget of the older series.

What a wonderful dancer she is! Wow. The track is totally forgettable though.

There was a second when they cast the shadow of the holy leg onto the real leg. Nice detail.
