So can we presume that Johnny Depp's penchant for wigs and silly voices is finally being harnessed for good?

Well, I tried watching it, but wow it's a tough slog. The opening song though, is DYNAMITE!

This looks like a high quality movie with high quality actors. Very high quality.

Trump was so far ahead of us all--he knew that someday 16:9 would be the dominant aspect ratio.

Since I'm at work, I won't be able to watch until I get home tonight. On the standard Depp scale of Lone Ranger to Mortdecai (I'll let you decide individually which end is which) where should we place this?

It's so, so long.

I gotta say, Kenny Loggins is a really good sport.

I'm going by Rotten Tomatoes, with films he starred in, so the scale is more between Ed Wood and Mortdecai. He can be quite good when everything works out.

(I cannot think of Johhny Depp without, through the messy wetware in my head, sighing over Helena Bonham Carter in Room With a View, whose Lucy permanently burned herself into long-term memory as one of the world's most beautiful beings, what with me having been 18 in 1985...sorry, where was I? Anyway, he's alright in my book.)

Ron Howard's to-camera is eerily consistent [SLYT].

Mr. Depp is no Don Knotts.

This is taking a long time to watch, because even with fake Trump there's only so much I can stand before I need a break.

Yeah but Depp was great in it and some really good writing too. A more stringent edit would have made it perfect but thumbs up here.

Alfred Molina was my favorite. I enjoyed Johnny Depp's performance too. Thumbs up!

Thanks, Citizens United!

Negative.
