Please enjoy this gloriously kitschy 2001 performance of a house-pop song entitled "7th Element," by Russian singer Vitas. (Vitas previously on MeFi, singing a um, pretty different repertoire.)

blblblblbl, a ha ha

1. Why is Captain Crunch standing behind him?
2. Is this where all these post-apocalyptic young-adult-novels-to-movies costume designers have been stealing their ideas from?

My daughter showed me this video a couple months back. I told her it kinda reminded me of the late Klaus Nomi. She totally flipped out over upon that discovery.

He reminds me of the Peter Pan guy, who was looking for his Wendy.

Oh, I've seen this fellow in some videos. He's a good enough singer that I'm somewhat surprised he hadn't gone for a more worldwide following. I guess he's over 30 by now, is that it?

Skinny young men with pretty eyes who can sing: making serious bank since 1935.

Showing off serious tongue action don't hurt, neither.

Well, droplet. He's playing in Toronto this May. Seats are min. $70cad. Sounds like he's doing alright.

Granted, there are a lot of Russian immigrants here.

I think he is living proof the Russians have made contact with an alien race. He, like Snowden, is just getting by any way he can, there.

I came across a vine loop of the best bit of "blblblblbl, a ha ha" stuff a while back being passed around as a playful "no way" meme. As if he were singing "blblblblbl, nuh-uh uh nuh-uh uh"
