I'm looking forward to seeing how he does back on Earth. I get sore getting out of bed in the morning.

I know he's not the first human to spend that long in space but I expect we'll learn a whole lot from his experience. He has a twin brother (also an Astronaut) that is sort of acting as a control subject back on Earth.

I'll miss his tweets from the ISS.

Great stuff. I wish the search/geotagging were better but I still managed to find my house in this shot.

NASA TV is covering the undocking and trip home if anyone wants to watch. I hope someone on the ground will present him with bouquet of zinnias when he gets back.

NASA researchers must have done a jig when they realized they could have such a perfect experiment set up. As a glasses wearer, I'm very curious to hear about his eyesight changes. Especially whether it is permanent or whether it might get better over time back in full Earth gravity.

This is awesome. Kelly's safe return to Earth was much more awesome news to wake up to then all the political bullshit.

Also, NASA's tumblr has a bunch of great stuff on this (and in general).

Please please forgive me for just straight up bragging here but:

I am now the proud owner of an official NASA twin study mission patch!!!

I am so so so excited about this. (I will be doing work on a small corner of the project)

I can't wait to see how the microbiome data shakes out. I think that will be hella cool.

Thanks for the post. Just watched the PBS documentary. I'm surprised I didn't hear more about this when they arrived home this week.
