This writes up like exactly the kind of thing Huburtus Bigend would send Cayce to investigate and absorb into whatever nebulous Next Big Thing they're working on, that will somehow involve anarchist assassins and an attempt to de-calibrate the global economy.

This is just wonderful. I saw the Jubilee Cope on display on a visit to St Paul's years ago, and it remains one of my all-time favorite works of textile art.
