Also notable about the show is that Thorpe (Kevin Hooks) and Hayward (Thomas Carter) went on to become successful directors.

I keep meaning to try to find White Shadow on youtube or somewhere. I was obsessed with that show when I was a kid.

Another CEO in Michael Clayton, too. Dang, 71 is way too young. Hank Hooper, though. He KILLED it in that role.

Ah ha ha, he had a three-episode arc on Young and the Restless in 2012! Might have been around when they had Ann Magnuson on, too.

The White Shadow was a staple and I was always chuffed to remember "The White Shadow" was his nickname when he himself was a basketball player (for Amherst College, but still!). As much as I can watch basketball, a large portion of that is thanks to him.

A great working actor with a lot of great roles and one most memorable ones. And unlike many others, he had reason to be proud of that one role.

That's really too bad.
The White Shadow and James At 15 16 were shows that my mom would let me stay up a bit later than I was supposed to and watch with her, at a time when I dreaded going to sleep because it meant getting up and going to school the next day.

. That was a pretty grown-up show to little me but I thought it was fascinating. Sorry to see him go.
