The Show About The Show

This self-referential scripted series by Brooklyn filmmaker Caveh Zahedi is about him trying to make a TV show. Co-starring Alex Karpovsky, Eleonore Hendricks, Dustin Defa, as well as his wife and children, the intensity of the series rapidly increases as his brutal honesty about the production causes tension with his staff and family, but the honesty continues.
Here is a trailer which sums up the show, and this is the first episode.

On another note, here is Will Oldham starring in Tripping With Caveh.

I got through episode 1, but there's something about him that makes me so nervous. Maybe it's also the handheld camera and how sweaty everybody looks. I'll definitely go back and try to get through more, because it's different, but this is really personality-driven, and I'm not sure I can connect with anyone so far.

Having just recently been, uh, treated to Will Oldham tripping on stage I no longer want to watch Will Oldham do anything.

The phrase "Brooklyn Without Borders" gives me the damn willies. Keep that shit contained, please.

I have never really connected with Zahedi's work (the ambient anxiety is a little too much for me) but I've always admired him as filmmaker. I'll have to check this out.

This is some kamikaze shit right here.
Fuck.
Here's what my face was doing as I watched all 4 episodes so far:
Wry smile at the subversive cheekiness.

Slight eye roll at the high likelihood of boredom caused
By tedious examinination of the contents of another person's navel.

Brow furrowed in concern for mental health of filmmaker and
Eyes widened in horror at other people's confidences betrayed over and over

Mouth a perfect O of disbelief as I realize the real purpose of this project
Is to blow up the filmmaker's day job, marriage, and friendships in the hopes that "art" will make it all worthwhile
(Or perhaps because the only way for some of us to make ourselves get unstuck is to light the bed we have made on fire...while we're still in it...hoping the flames
Will motivate us to move...)

this is some naked, human, ugly, possibly insane filmmaking
And I LOVE BRIC and Caveh and everyone for their participation.

I hope to see more episodes.
I dread seeing more episodes.

(Also I will be pissed if this is more fiction than fact
And I will be relieved if this is more fiction than fact.)

Wow, I just watched his Possessed by God and Tripping with Caveh a couple nights ago and loved them, this is exciting! This looks even more insane.

Whoa... we need a NSFW on episode one. Digging it but I'm glad no one walked by during the sexy time scene.

I hope this is faked and scripted, because otherwise this is not funny, it's just dark and depressing as fuck.

After careful investigation the show is scripted and fiction. Whew.
