The memorable URL damn.dog hides a game where you try to guess the titles of WikiHow articles by one of their illustrations.

Note: the name of the site triggered two false positives, previous threads the MeFi site software claimed were duplicate links but turned out not to be. Weird.

Three out of four! Didn't make it easy, either.

I am delighted daily by the WikiHowArt twitter, but it occurs to me that I haven't consulted Wikihow on anything since I found it. It seems to have an open-door policy towards teenagers giving each other advice on, say, how to convincingly act like a werewolf or fake a pregnancy. There ought to be a grownup whose job it is to redirect those pages to an Impact font 128-point DON'T.

Somehow this made me nostalgic for reading a child's picture book. Or learning a foreign language from a heavily illustrated website. You know, that sense of heightened attention to visual cues that are quite baffling. QUITE baffling.

I've gotten some chuckles out of the @WikiHowArt Twitter account, but something about the multiple-choice answers on this thing broke me. I just laughed at my work desk until I cried.

Favorite so far is "how to act like sonic the hedgehog," complete with anime-style drawing of a girl in a blue tank top eating a chili dog. I'm almost embarrassed to have gotten it right.
