Empathy Through Agency

Bioshock creative director Ken Levine is teaming up with Interlude, creators of the Bob Dylan "Like A Rolling Stone" interactive video, to make a Twilight Zone interactive movie.
Initially I was picturing a weekly release of a game where you wander a different empty landscape listening to tape recordings, figuring out what happened to all the people, and then get a TWIST ENDING. Sounds like it's not quite that.
There needs to be some element of anthology to it though - without anthology it's just not Twilight Zone.

Kris Ligman and Danielle Riendeau at ZAM have some thoughts about this.

I'm 100% in favor of Ken Levin spending his time making movies instead of video games.

The hiring of Sam (Her Story) Barlow feels like a bigger thing for Interlude, TBH. I'm sure this will get plenty of column inches in the relevant press, but whatever Barlow does with the tech is likely to be more interesting and more likely to break out...

(I mean, probably the thing after the interactive version of War Games, which feels like another targeted product, but you never know...)

More seriously, Austin Walker has good thoughts on this, as always.
