Sorry, but that seems a bit inaccurate. And the "(1)" reference just points to the front page of Alternet, so I have no idea what statistic they're actually trying to point to.

Above it, there is a stat that 15% of homeless people are considered chronically homeless. So, perhaps, they accidentally left out the word chronic.
