There's also a Solaris company making busses in Poland; given that they are Polish, I doubt they were unaware of the novel.

No Camry Solara? Oh, wait, I just didn't notice it existed.

A comet is a cosmic hairball? Love it!

My favorite cosmic car is the Peugeot Quasar concept, it's straight out of an 80s anime.

I've owned at least three of these: 1970 Ford Galaxie, 1984 Chrysler Laser and a 1997 Geo Prizm.

Well, his definition of what references or evokes the universe gets awfully broad sometimes. Ion? Laser? Tesla? Volt?

I mean at that point, why not the Mercury Cougar? A Cougar is a thing in the universe. Biologists study them.

Missing Ford Scorpio and Ford Taurus. Although given how broad his definition is, the list should also include Ford Prefect.

omg it was a concept car! i've been looking for this thing after recalling seeing some hyper futuristic Peugeot super car from the 80s once and i could never find it!

Most car names are improved by preceding them with the word 'anal'. Try it!

Wow, I forgot all about the Buick Apollo. I remember them from my younger days.

Plymouth Satellite should probably be on the list. And the Mazda Cosmo should definitely be there. As should Proton considering Ion made the list.

But special mention should go to the Toyota Space Cruiser.

Fun related trivia: the Chevy II family of cars were the only ones I can think of where the names are semi recursive. GM X platform: Chevy Nova, Oldsmobile Omega, Pontiac Venture, Buick Apollo.

< nitpick >
Surely you mean Pontiac Ventura.
< /nitpick >

j/k, I'm sure it was merely a typo or a mix up with the Chevrolet Venture.
