Much more Afro-Beat than Funk, but this music looks fun to play. Groove music.

These guys are really tight. I'm going to look up more of their stuff since they'll probably never come anywhere near my town. Thanks for the tip!

Much more Afro-Beat than Funk...

The first tune, especially, reminded me of a 21st-century version of what funk groups like the Average White Band and Tower of Power were doing 40 years ago. I thought the keyboard player was in the way for much of the first two tunes, but he did a nice job with his solo in the third (which, speaking of 40 years ago, brought back memories of several sections from Chuck Mangione’s long tune Children of Sanchez).

Anyway, thanks for the link. I enjoyed it.

Yeah, like with a lot of music I have many thoughts on this, but generally nobody appeared to be sitting back at all. Fun for them!
