"Current formal work dress codes are out-dated and sexist."

Nicola Thorp was sent home without pay from a temp gig at PwC in London for refusing to wear shoes with a "2in to 4in heel". PwC said they had no policy to that effect, and the temp firm has since changed its policies, but Thorp isn't done yet. She has petitioned Parliament, saying "Dress code laws should be changed so that women have the option to wear flat formal shoes at work, if they wish." The petition reached the threshold of 100,000 signatures in a few days and will be considered for debate.
