npm-expansions is a git repository, currently holding 250+ pending pulls requests of what NPM (Node Package Manager) might stand for*: Notify Police - Murder!, Neurosis Prevention Mechanism, Narcissistically Plush Moostache and to quote a specific commit - "the very first Portuguese extension" - Não posso mais ("I can't take it anymore").

*NPM Expansions are randomly shown on the top bar of npmjs.com.

Não posso mais ("I can't take it anymore")
For times like when developers take their ball and go home and fetching from npm breaks everything.

....what is a "git"?
GIT - the stupid content tracker

"git" can mean anything, depending on your mood.

 - random three-letter combination that is pronounceable, and not
actually used by any common UNIX command. The fact that it is a
mispronounciation of "get" may or may not be relevant.
 - stupid. contemptible and despicable. simple. Take your pick from the
   dictionary of slang.
 - "global information tracker": you're in a good mood, and it actually
works for you. Angels sing, and a light suddenly fills the room.
 - "goddamn idiotic truckload of sh*t": when it breaks
git is a piece of software used for tracking changes to collections of text files; mostly source code. It has become very popular with programmers over the last decade or so, and GitHub, which hosts git repositories (a collection of stuff kept in git is a repository), has become more or less the de facto place to publish source code.

Maybe it doesn't stand for anything and NPM's priorities are mercenary.
