That was awesome. I want to hope that the creator had to comb through dozens and dozens of episodes to find the perfectly awful footage for this, but I'm guessing it was closer to five to ten.

There was that time Ray Combs just left the studio at the end of his last show while the cameras were still rolling and the family was still celebrating.

Steve Harvey's opinions about atheists ("To me, you're an idiot") and how women should behave ("be a keeper, not a sports fish") really take the funny out of anything he does.

I agree totally, but this video is amazing. Maybe you're not saying that it's not.

Also, did you see that goat in the background? It didn't look well.

Is that the music from Turin Horse?

This has everything. For the people that like Steve Harvey, here he is being hilarious. For the people that don't, here's footage of him trapped in his own personal hell.

I'd also like to see a version of Steve Harvey's Nightmare in this style.

The Passion of Steve Harvey

Is there a particular name for that sort of mournful Southern antebellum fiddle music? I'm looking for something new to brood to.

The ghost of Ray Combs will forevermore haunt that show.

I feel like Vic Berger's human drama riffing on the celebrity sinners (trolls? bad persons? etc) is part of the whole appeal

it's like, take a ridiculous person with terrible opinions, stick them into a soap opera like setting, and you've created like this uncanny valley of intense grotesqueness mixed with light schadenfreude

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the subject in these videos is almost always universally loathed by Super Deluxe's audience. that understanding is a crucial part of the formula. if Tim and Eric were more political with their vulgar metacommentary, you'd get something very much like what Berger's putting out

Woah what's the back story with that Ray Combs video? I mean I know what happened to him but is that literally footage of him running off stage to kill himself? I mean that seems to be the implication I guess. But is that true?

According to Wikipedia, the final episode was filmed in February 1994 and he died in June 1996. So it wasn't an immediate thing, but certainly a rapid decline.
