Overnight, a man killed about 20 and injured over 40 people in Orlando at Pulse, an LGBT friendly bar. It is the largest such event in recent history.

One of the owners of the gay nightclub where multiple people were shot early Sunday in Orlando started the club to promote awareness about the area's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. Her brother died from AIDS.

Ugh. So awful, and it looks like the reaction is going to be hideous on several fronts.

My thoughts are with everyone who is affected, directly or indirectly.
