Wiener-dog Wednesday!

This beautiful mama-dog-to-be had a maternity photo session. The next day she gave birth to 5 little pups, who were also the subject of their own photo shoot.
Another sweet dachshund family lovingly photographed, this time with tiny knit hats.

She couldn't look more pleased with herself than in that first puppy photo shoot. And well she should! That's a lot of dogs to have inside you and to get outside of you!

Paws! And she looks so CHUFFED with herself.
I was recently in a lift with a couple with new-born babies and a dog. I went all gooey, and the mother beamed. Then I said "what's the dog's name?" - that was an awkward 10 second lift ride.
But PAWS!

At age 43 one of my favorite things to do is yell, "WIENERS!!!" when I spot someone walking dachshunds.
I love it when I meet well adjusted, happy dachshunds. I got to play with one at a garage sale last weekend. He was sitting in his owner's lap in the garage and I spotted him while walking up the driveway. I looked him in the eye and he knew there were tummy rubs coming his way so he hopped out of his owners lap and came racing out to me. The owner was surprised by that development. DOGS AND CATS SENSE MY AFFECTION, owner guy. They know.
The dog's name was Otto. I sat in the driveway with the dog while my bff looked through garage sale stuff.
The yorkie at the next garage sale was a snooty asshole.
In short: some dachshunds are a goddamn delight. From the look of these pictures it would appear Lilica is a dandy little wiener.

Adorable, sure. I was perfectly fine with calmly viewing these images, until OMG CLOSE UP FUZZY PUPPYMUZZLE and now I have to go snorgle my baffled cats.
