Winter is gone...sniff No more snow. To curb my emotions, I've been playing Sketchy, a sledding game, Snowcraft and SSX Tricky on my PS2. Any other winter games/diversions you care to recommend to a winter lovin' freak?

There's plenty of snow left here (Minnesota). I hate it.

I enjoy shoveling snow, scraping the car windshield, and skidding into the ditch. I also like growing icicles in my beard.

Shouts out to all those getting friggin' snow in April. Christ... why did I move to Chicago? Wah.

Quit wasting your money on virtual experience and put it instead towards the real thing.
Like you, I never get enuf of winter so head there in July/August. World class pistes and I usually stop off in Cancun or the carribean on the way back for contrast.

Alternative FPP option:

You know ... just to complement the other Thursday morning front page fare.

You mean winter is ending?!?! This is outrageous! Something needs to be done. I'm going to write my congressman.

I've been sat in the sun all day reading a book. It was the first time this year and, this being the north of England, may yet be the last. Winter, quite frankly, can go take a running jump. Not really a help I'm afraid lheiskel but I had so much fun today I need to make it a matter of public record.

Winter's over? Where are you? I went snowboarding on Monday, and have another trip planned for next weekend. The hill's open until May long weekend.

Edmonton, jkaczor? I'm in Calgary, and it's just as cold here this week.

Yeah, Calgary is home to me too, just a contract gig that keep's me up here M-F. I keep lying to myself, telling me it's warmer in Calgary, but I know it isn't...

Hey, thanks for the link Miguel, I "missalberta" too...

After being back in Alberta for two years, I keep thinking to myself.... "now where the hell is that global warming I've been promised"... Alberta has definately soured me on all things "winter".

Alberta? Winter? pshaw. Try going north, jkaczor. :)

Actually. I suppose I shouldn't really talk either. I'm from Yellowknife which is hardly the most northern community.

It snowed April 1. I figured that was God's April Fool's Joke.

Winter? What winter?

We had snow here in NYC maybe twice, and it never stuck for more than a few hours.

Dammit.

winter is overrated. aside from the beautiful aspect of it, you can keep the whole "FREAKIN' cold" deal. gimme a warm summer night anyday.

winter is overrated.

I prefer a little of both. Today's weather is in the low 70's with a clear blue sky. If you like to ski though, a 20 minute drive will get you up into the mountain resorts. Too bad the weather isn't like this all year round.
