There's a five track "sampler " that you can buy for a $10 donation to the International Rescue Committee.

It's sort of buried in the article, but if you follow the links, it goes to a website that points you to the CDBaby page where you can purchase the 5-song "sampler" EP. The proceeds go to refugee relief in Europe and the Middle East.

(On edit, what howfar said.)

Is there ANYTHING this man can't do?

Things he can't do:
1. Beat a Star Destroyer in a battle; Enterprise is just outgunned.
2. Um.... not coming up with much more.

azpenguin 1. Beat a Star Destroyer in a battle; Enterprise is just outgunned.

Look, if there's anything we've learned from Trek, is that Picard is a clever enough tactician to win against difficult odds. This guy beat the Borg. He invented the Picard Maneuver.

Also, are we talking Enterprise D, or Enterprise E?

I would buy this album.

Clearly what CBS' new Trek series needs is a Patrick Stewart cameo as "Dusty Chapps," Star Trek 2017's answer to Vic Fontaine.

I would also buy Garak! Garak! Garak!- Elim Garak Performs Judy Garland at Carnegie Hall.

The form is to call him Sir Patrick or Sir Patrick Stewart, not Sir Stewart without the forename. I would have thought this was a common issue with cowboy singers and I'm surprised they've made the error.

1. Beat a Star Destroyer in a battle; Enterprise is just outgunned.

Not an issue: Sir Patrick could put on a Batman costume and work out a solution.

2. Um.... not coming up with much more.

You wouldn't really need to, since Thomas and Martha Wayne are still alive in some continuities of-

And somewhere, the Shat is asking himself "But, I sing. I ride horses. I commanded the Enterprise. Why him, why, not me?"

Tell me you didn't read that in his voice.

I DID.

Coming up next: Jonathan Frakes sings new country hits from the '90s.

Frakes is more known for his trombone playing, as I recall, though I'm only aware of that time he guested on a Phish album

I would also buy Avery Brooks Sings Jacques Brel.

Oooooh I would buy the hell out of a Trek cast performance of either Alive And Well And Living In Paris or Man of La Mancha

Avery Brooks has a spoken word jazz album. I assume it sounds like any other conversation with Avery Brooks, set to jazz.

The Rawhide video was great. I have a soft spot in my heart for that song because when I worked at the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, my crew—Security—used to sing it on the staff shuttle on our way to work when it was very late and we were punchy. This was a tradition that had been inaugurated, for some reason, by some of the British women on the crew. Somewhere, I hope these women I haven't seen in 15 years are seeing Patrick Stewart doing our song, and feeling happy, nostalgic, and British about it.

I would't have described myself as a cowboy music aficionado, and yet watching the K-Tel style promo video, I realize I know all the words to most of the songs.

I love cowboy music.

Next up from DigitalSpy: Which TV SciFi Series Had the Best Singers in the Cast? And remember, 'Doctor' Peter Capaldi was once in a punk band with Craig Ferguson. And Bill(y) Mumy (of Lost in Space, Twilight Zone and Babylon 5) was half of the Dr. Demento fave band Barnes and Barnes. And if you include behind-the-scenes people, Creative Consultant to Stargate: Universe (and Creator of a couple series currently in Development Hell) MeFi's Own John Scalzi has publicly embarrassed himself singing on more than one occasion.

Seriously. Magical.

I would keep it safely with my bottle of Eau My.

Even though it isn't part of the track listing, I now have Garak singing Get Happy running through my head, and it is glorious!

He should be sending head shots off to all the dictionary publishers for use in the next editions, as he's the definition of game.

Also, I didn't know I needed the term "P Stew" in my life until today.
