why

I don't mean why as in why is there a video of this, which is hilarious, but why and how did the evolutionary history of the flamingo arrive at it dancing that particular way to a bagpipe?

would a dinosaur dance that way to a bagpipe

is that how T-Rex danced

it's not "why is the flamingo dancing" it's more "why is the flamingo at the airport?"

it's in an airport

it's obviously flying somewhere

and it got there early to get through security and is now killing time

the real question is: why is there a bagpiper in the airport. . . bagpiping?

why did the evolutionary history of humans make bagpipers

Abnormal repetitive behaviour such as pacing, swaying, head-bobbing or circling is typically caused by the frustration of natural behaviour patterns, the flamingo isn't 'happily dancing' it is stressed.

Well, thanks for that interesting and *cough* killjoy *cough* bit of information, Lanark.

My first reaction was: man, that flamingo looks really distressed. I know when I hear bagpipes I exhibit distressed behavior, too, but I at least have fingers that can plug my ears.

I once left my car unlocked and was worried because I left my bagpipes in plain sight in the back seat. When I got back to the car there were two sets of bagpipes in the back seat!
[Was originally an accordion joke.]
[I love bagpipes and accordions. And banjos.]

Q: What's the definition of "perfect pitch?"
A: When you toss an accordion into a dumpster and it lands on the bagpipes.

The flamingo is not dancing to the bagpipe music, it thinks the pattern on the carpet is water and is trying to stir up the mud so it can strain food out of it. It's very confused and, yes, probably very stressed.

But that is why it is dancing like that.

So he's just your average traveler, then. As for the dancing part, I bet dude had one drink too many and decided to have some fun.

Also.

Dude's fucking naked.

Like how is everyone missing that??

"Some men there are love not a gaping pig,
Some that are mad if they behold a cat,
And others, when the bagpipe sings i' th' nose,
Cannot contain their urine."
- Shylock in The Merchant off Venice, Act 4 Scene 1.

Maybe the flamingo's dancing because it desperately wants to piss?
