If it is anything like the Moomin cafe I went to in Osaka there will be a way too long line for pretty forgettable food, but a lot of nice merch to buy.

Problem is, you have to eat all of these dishes in one bite, by opening your mouth wide and literally inhaling them.

Caution: you must be at least 21 and show photo ID before you are allowed to eat two dishes at once.

(Let's see who gets THIS one!)

Actually, it's an exact rendering of the original Japanese.

Oh, I had the wrong Kirby. So much for my dream of being served by impossibly muscled waiters in ludicrous hats. AND THE DOTS! THE DOTS!

You're not alone. I was hoping for Galactus Goulash and Silver Surfer Stew.

I'm gonna explain my joke above, because I just want to leave me alone:

In some Kirby games (most of them that you can inhale enemies to copy powers), if you inhale two enemies with powers at once, you get a special secret power called Mix. When activated, the game will rapidly cycle through nearly all the powers in the game, and if you press a button to get a more-or-less random power.

In Kirby's Adventure and Kirby Super Star, each power has a special cartoon graphic that appears on the status line. Mix has its own little portrait: of Kirby in a tuxedo, mixing drinks! Here's a video of Mix in action in Super Star. Note that you can inhale two enemies with the same power and still get Mix. Here are the details.

Aside 1: In most games that have Mix (even those without the cartoon graphic indicator), it's possible to wait out the power roulette. It times out after a few seconds. If you stopped it by pressing a button you get a random power, but if you wait it out, you always get the same power, depending on which pair of abilities you swallowed. Most Kirby games with copy powers have puzzles that rely on having one of a small number of abilities, or even having a specific rare ability, sometimes powers that are not located anywhere the puzzle's location, and there are a couple of places where this is actually the fastest, safest way to get the ability.

Aside 2: In Kirby Super Star, Mix can actually generated some unusual "powers." In both KA and KSS you can get the rare UFO power out of Mix, but I've read that, in KSS, you can also get "Ouch," which inflicts damage, or even "Done for," which costs Kirby a life! Fortunately there are enough other powers in the game that these results are very uncommon.
