Britishness at its absolute bloody best I watched the whole Queen Mum procession thing yesterday, complete with "frantically filling BBC commentators", and this Brains Trust article was the perfect antidote. My favourite though is Die Sissons Die

The QM's funeral is a full 10 days after she died - how can they wait so long without her starting to smell like butcher's dustbin? Simple - there are no biological parts left to her.
Robo-Royal... scary thought. I actually made a fiver out of the QM's death. In a drunken argument my friend foolishly bet me that she would outlive the Pope. 'She's invincible!' he cried, 'She'll never die!' He, of course, forgot that the Pope is 'connected'. He's got the Big Man looking after him.

"Die Sissons Die" is hilarious! I wish I could have seen what he'd done on-air for real to inspire this.

He didn't wear a black tie. That was all. Clearly, we should bring back crucifixion :)
