Well she certainly evokes boredom effectively.

Mash this up with David Foster Wallace narrating his essay: “Shipping Out: On the (nearly lethal) comforts of a luxury cruise.”

I both liked it, and also wondered how many Wes Anderson films Corinne Anderson has seen (and how many times she's seen them.)

Beautiful shots but who has the luxury of being bored on a cruise? I wish I had that problem.

cazoo, can I ask what keeps you occupied on a cruise? I've been on a couple of enjoyable day-long large boat trips and lots of ferry rides, but I'm pretty sure a cruise would be too much of the same for me - kind of like spending a week in a hotel.

I like it.

I wonder what the legal implications are of creating work product potentially in international waters.

I thought it had more in common with Laurie Anderson

I liked it. I also like how she evokes a (mostly) empty ship on a cruise, which based on my exactly one experience on a cruise ship, isn't really easy to do. The ship always seems totally full of people.

I thought it was lovely and dreamlike and sweet. How wonderful to have idle time to play and be creative.
