Prediction: Pikachu will do more detective work and solve more cases in this film than Sherlock will in series 4.

Just a couple of months ago I kind of rolled my eyes at my son's Pokemon obsession and was totally uninterested in it. Now I've been playing Pokemon Go for like two weeks and I know a shocking number of facts about Pokemons, and I am way too excited for this movie. It's everything I never knew I wanted!

The movie will probably be stupid but there's a nonzero chance it will be the second coming of Who Framed Roger Rabbit but with Pokemon instead of cartoon characters and that would be so fucking delightful.

Assuming that this is a Meowth-type situation (as implied by the trailer) this is just one Pikachu who is a hard-boiled detective. Any others in the film will file the standard design and only say their names.
