“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”I think its fairly obvious that "In God we Trust" produced by the government anywhere is in violation of this. Its not in Yaweh we trust, or even in Allah we trust. This is clearly a pro-Christian statement. It also excludes pan-theists and non-theists.
What about a historical document our legislators apparently overlooked -- the Utah State Constitution? "The State shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion," it reads. "There shall be no union of Church and State."Not to mention federal law trumps state law.
