Embrace and rock on with your bad self!

I would thank them for sharing their humour and strength.

I have some impressive surgery almost two years ago, and it left two scars. I said at the time that I'd decorate them once I was out of the woods in terms of possible complications (which, for me, would be November), but it turns out the primary incision has healed so well you kind of have to know where to look to see any evidence I was cut open there. That's amazing to me; my surgeon tells me it's genetic luck as much as anything else.

Even with such luck, the secondary site didn't heal cleanly AT ALL, owing to the now-quotidian postop infection, and left an uglier mark I'd be game to dress up -- but sadly for any tattoo plans, it's also in a spot that is observed exclusively by my wife, and so it seems like a bad candidate for decoration.

I've got a great scar over some hardware in my ankle, and I want to get a tattoo that looks like one of those "No User Serviceable Parts Inside" or "Warranty Void If Seal Is Broken" labels. Problem is, the scar is pretty big, so the "torn" label would have to be unreasonably large.

This story (today.com, originally on twitter) features three best friends and their tattoos, inspired when one of them was mugged.

I don't have any tattoos. However, I have this 6" scar running down the center of my back from surgery to repair a severely ruptured T10/T11 disc, and I've thought that it would be kind of cool to have a tattoo done next to the scar describing, in medical terminology, what the surgery was, when it was done, etc. Maybe in something like American Typewriter font. It should look nice and machine-like.

Then, make arrangements to have my body donated to a medical school.

Aw. "Heyyy there, beautiful!" translated into your idiom.
