Are we sure this isn't a scene from an upcoming Christopher Guest mockumentary? Because that seems like a scene from an upcoming Christopher Guest mockumentary.

I detect a marked lack of enthusiasm on the part of Didga.

The upcoming Christopher Guest mocumentary already has a MeFi thread.

My favorite part is how completely indifferent to all this the cat seems.

(If the cat had ollied the skateboard over the obstacle, then that would have been my favorite part instead)

Oh, you had to be a big shot, Didga?

Hey look, I taught my human to feed me tons of snacks while I walk around a little bit.

There was a previously about Didga years ago! I can't find the post but I still have the video on my HDD. It's here on youtube.

Very special for me because I've spent some time in Coolangatta and I recognize the landmarks. So happy this clever cat is still around!

I thought it was 20 skateboard tricks in a minute, so I'm gonna have to be admit to a little disappointment.

MCMikeNamara: get a cat and start a training regime. You will astound the world! Or you will end up in the hospital from cat-scratch-blood-loss. Either way, you'll get an FPP out of it!

My husband was pretty excited when he taught our cat to roll a ball back to him, he's got some work to do I see.

youngercatbailard has taught herself to randomly carry a paper ball back to my stocking foot, and then whack said foot with claws to initiate a game of fetch.

Is it just me or have Guiness world records gotten so highly specific that just about anyone can set one? For example, someone could do 22 skateboard tricks with their cat in a little over a minute and claim the record for most skateboard tricks with a cat in less than 90 seconds. I'm pretty sure I own the record for browsing Metafilter while lying in bed at my house. Who do I contact to get in the book?

I applaud any world record system that encourages people to be filmed doing goofy tricks with their cats.

When cat gamers search youtube this is the first result under "speedrun"

You know you've spent too much time around cats when you read all the comments about indifference after watching the video and thinking "omigosh that cat is so darn proud of herself, look how happy she is."

Any time a cat is sitting still and closing their eyes with that very slow, relaxed tail swish, that is a damn proud cat. Likely because of what she's hearing in her human's voice, fwiw.

I take issue with "stop" and "stay" being two different tricks.

You've obviously never owned a cat.

Yeah, "stop" and "stay" are like 17 distinct tricks for a cat.
