Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are still running for President. The polls have tightened, but Clinton continues to lead her opponent in the race for the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency of the United States.

After Hillary Clinton left early from an event honoring the victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks on Sunday, the nation learned that she has been diagnosed with pneumonia. Donald Trump promised to release "very, very specific" information on his own health, a step he has largely avoided to date.

In actual news, a ceasefire in Syria has brought new hope for an end to the massively devastating civil war in that country. Several National Football League players joined their colleague Colin Kaepernick in his refusal to stand for the National Anthem in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, while in North Dakota and beyond, Native Americans, environmentalists and allies continued to protest the building of a new oil pipeline there.
