The easement allows 24-hour public access from North Temple to South Temple, but sets rules for behavior on the entire block -- outlawing smoking, sunbathing, bicycling and "engaging in any illegal, offensive, indecent, obscene, lewd or disorderly speech, dress or conduct."Holy crap, look at that list. Considering its completely subjective and the ones making the accusations will be defining those terms per their religion its no wonder these men were arrested. This is a bigger issue than just handing out pamphlets. This is state and church collusion.
Cutler has said if the LDS Church were found to be unreasonable in its enforcement, the city could use a "reverter clause" to revoke the sale. He upheld the city's position Monday.Doesn't the city do the enforcement not the Church? It looks like the line between the LDS and Salt Lake City doesn't really exist for non-Mormons.
