Somehow Pichler's TV Helmet seems even creepier than the Image Accumulator from Videodrome, though I can't tell if Cronenberg was familiar with his work.

For Pichler, media are far from participatory but instead somnambulating and hypnotizing, pulling humanity’s attention away from its greatest attributes.

I wonder how that turned out?
