Stealth Cell Tower is a project by Julian Oliver that blends art, technology, and awareness using a disguised office printer.

This would have been the best office gag ever (I work in telecom and we have random bits of fake antenna-concealing trees around the office already) but spending $420+ on a joke is not happening.

Thanks for posting this. Oliver's previous article on stealth infrastructure is also an interesting read.

This is the best thing evar (this week, at least). It should become an Open Source hardware project to make a little board that can be piggybacked into any printer with a little bit of spare space. I bet you could manage it for $50 worth of generic junk-box fodder.

As long as we entrust interception to the proper authorities (police, printers, FBI) everything should be fine.

benzenedream, I'm hoping that's tongue in cheek?

Actually, would be great if a detailed cookbook were published for hacktivists to provoke some precedent-setting and consciousness raising cases, perhaps trolling legislative / bureacrat premises.

Usage by TPTB is just as illegal, which is why screcy has been baked into usage contracts by vendors to enable their widespread usage.
