I prefer cookies, easier to regulate. Sometimes a brownie is just way too much :D

Oh man. Before I watched that I cranked up the eye roll knob to maximum in anticipation of a Refer Madness-type scare song but... that was really good. And really funny. And really helpful.

Also, WTF Texas?

I live in MA and Tuesday I get to vote to make that shit legal. Can't get here soon enough.

(Not to threadsit, but seriously these guys can sing and have great harmonies and they're funny, you should listen! Also Texas pot law is weirder than I imagined and I live here.)

(oh and apologies for slightly misquoting the lyrics in the title)

(ok carry on)

I so enjoyed that and I enjoyed how much they enjoyed making it! The props sent me over the edge.

That was well done H&H. Also: Jeebus, Texas! I don't like edibles myself, but doing felony time for butter and flour just seems bizarre, especially in 2016.

This is really wonderful. The song, not the law, to be clear.

Who's legalizing next week? CA and MA, almost for-sure, probably ME, too? Maaaaybe NV? How's AZ looking?

Jimmy McGill would really appreciate these dudes' showmanship.

"Because the butter and the flower and the oil, Are all included in the weight.”

90% sure the lyrics should read "flour," not "flower."

Who's legalizing next week?

Medical in FL is looking pretty good.

These are awesome! And I'm learning things about tort reform.

At least I'm beginning to understand why Texas and Florida are such deadly rivals.

All lawyers should be so fun and informative. This firm likely throws one hell of a good holiday party.

The Miranda song is a good tutorial on how to use your right to be silent.

When I first learned what a felony was, I thought it was a charge for serious crimes like robbery or murder or fraud. We hand them out like candy, though - our justice system is quite vindictive.

This is awesome. These seem like people I'd like to be friends with (preferably without needing their services first).

I was wondering if these were the same guys that posted a Tort Reform song on Reddit's Legal Advice subreddit and, yes, they are (it was posted earlier in this thread too).

Here's them talking more about tort reform in that link:

I consider it a minor sacred duty to educate people BEFORE they are in my office telling me about a tragic loss. You know, it's funny - I was picking a jury the other day, and the first question we usually ask is, "who thinks there are too many lawsuits?" Every hand went up. But then when I asked how many of them had actually been involved in a civil lawsuit other than a divorce, nobody had.

There's this mentality in Texas that everybody ELSE'S lawsuit is bullshit, but when they come into my office and I have to tell them how badly their rights have been curtailed, they get incredulous. But honestly, the insurance industry did a MASTERFUL job at selling tort reform to Texas. It was all based on distortions, but pretty much all they had to say was "McDonalds Hot Coffee Lawsuit" and people lost their shit.

The song is great and they look like they would be fun people to hang out with. It is so weird that in Texas (and most of the country) having some pot gets you sent to prison, while here there are legal weed shops all over town selling it with no more hassle than buying a beer.

I love the "Please Shut Up" video. I learned something! If the insurance adjuster sounds like they're making small talk when they start off by asking how you're doing today, and you say, "fine, thanks", that could be used as evidence that your injuries really aren't all that bad. It's really sneaky because this is such a common greeting, and most times our response is automatic. Tl;dr: The adjuster may sound friendly but is really not your friend.

Also, their What The Hail Is Going On? video is good too.
