It seems like these ending screens come up as you play the game more and more? It keeps telling you to stop or offering you a job. I wish the article was clearer about how you get each ending. Also, I don't blame the localizers for deciding to cut these endings. Really bizarre.

Good ol' All Your Base Are Belong to Us was how I first came across MetaFilter all those years ago. It's funny that they both have 32 secret endings, though MetaFilter's are weirder.

How do these endings show, other than test mode / hacking the ROM? This page says

The Japanese version contains 35 different endings, one for each loop you complete. After getting the best ending for completing the game three times (or just playing in Hard mode), each subsequent ending will show the bad guy saying something comedic or weird. All the endings except the first three were removed for the European version. The test mode cheat allows you to pick the ending you want, but it will just show the 3rd ending. The Japanese test code shows all the endings correctly.

So it sounds like it cycles through them if you keep winning.
