With a ruby coloured hand he'll reach in and grab your gland

He's a god, he's a man, he's a ghost, he's a guru. From the amazing world of Deviant Art comes DrFaustusAU (previously) who has created an almost pitch perfect mashup of Nick Cave's classic song and Dr Seuss. We'll soon be whispering his name through this disappearing land.
It’s still a work-in-progress, though, isn’t it? With the ‘you don’t have no self-respect / you feel like an insect’ image being the recentest one? In any case: beautifully-done!

I'm glad the artist is still working on this.

Ah, I didn't realise it wasn't finished. I should have, of course, being a fan of the song. Well, I too look forward to the complete complete set!

With Nick Cave, I'm thinking what is this referencing?, a Papal Encyclical?, William Blake?
Turns out to be Milton, Paradise Lost (Book II, 170-174): "What if the breath that kindled those grim fires, / Awaked, should blow them into sevenfold rage, / And plunge us in the flames; or from above / Should intermitted vengeance arm again / His red right hand to plague us?".

Huh, I wonder if that same line inspired Mignola's Hellboy. The song was in the first film.

If you found yourself clicking on the main link only to be completely unable to figure out how to view the rest (I don't seem to have those little "next" buttons), this link to the gallery of images for this project may help.

Quotes John Milton on the walls in his victims' blood--Nick Cave, "Song of Joy"
Police are investigating at tremendous cost
In my house he wrote "HIS RED RIGHT HAND"
That, I'm told, is from Paradise Lost

There once was a man named Duane Barry
An FBI agent off did he carry
On ascent to the stars
In the boot of his car
The aliens 'copter long didn't tarry

Thanks, Dirty. I've been wanting to show this to my spouse for about a week (because we're watching Peaky Blinders and the song interested her) but I hadn't been able to find a tidy way of looking at the pages in order. This works.
