Would you like some pizza, deer?

Dominos is training reindeers in Japan to deliver pizza over the holidays by pulling sleds full of pizza across snowy roadways too treacherous for delivery bikes. The company says they’re learning their new jobs on the grounds of a driving school and will be ready to start work in December. This idea is way cooler than that time Dominos tried delivering pizza by drone.

I don't like dominos much, but that's a great deal on venison.

Even if this is a total disaster, it will be amazing.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Domino's came to say
Rudolph with your nose so bright
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?

That drone-delivery thing was just a publicity stunt. Current NZ aviation rules don't allow for autonomous delivery in urban areas.

Also, animal-pulled vehicles are slow. I'd rather pull a pizza from the freezer than wait for that thing to deliver.

Unlike this reindeer-based pizza delivery service, which is entirely sincere and earnest. I wonder: Does Domino's have hamburgers on the menu?

A similar publicity stunt in Brisbane, Australia. Except instead of complimentary venison, you get a 30,000$ robot.

This is all so impractical I'd be concerned for anyone that took it seriously.

Taking them out for a few Lapps around the track, eh?

What's going rate tipping Reindeer.

Well, it's tricky, because they're skittish and harder to sneak up on cows, but the principle is pretty much the same.

Here's a tip for a reindeer; they're not your friends Rudy. They used to make fun of your nose before it was useful to them. They never let you play with them. You're like the kid that's only popular in summer because he has a swimming pool. Screw those guys Rudolph, you don't need them. That old guy is super creepy too.

This would be a terribly inefficient way to get parmesan bites in a place where it is currently partly cloudy and 78°F. The runners on the sleigh would just tear up the asphalt. It might put off the eventual drowning by 5 minutes, though, so that would be nice.
