More bad lip reading, to an unbelievably catchy tune.

I know Frank Oz is kind of bitchy about his Muppet days, but I'd like to think he would be tickled by this. It's delightful.

I love Bad Lip Reading but the random weirdness of their translations tends to be a little much for me. This, though, is just sublime.

I have been singing this non-stop to my dog and girl all week

The short version of the song was a mainstay of this house for like three months last year. This is great!

I cracked up at the nonconsensual use of R2D2 as percussion.

Bad Lip Reading is funny when we're looking at a human being who was actually saying other words. It doesn't work when you're looking at a puppet. With a puppet, we are, essentially, always experiencing the equivalent bad lip reading. A mouth is moving and a human being somewhere else is doing voiceover.

Alizaria, I think it works in this case because Yoda is such an expressive character and we know these moments so well. All of his wise looks to the heavens as he speaks become hilarious when he's instead warily looking for seagulls. Yeah, the BLR guy probably had more flexibility here in his word choices than he has with human actors, but his choices play very well to the context, Yoda's body language and expressions, etc.

As much as I love BLR, I fear he may have just ruined The Empire Strikes Back for Me. How can I ever watch it again without getting this song in my head?

It does really capture the sense of Yoda, I think. I think he just liked f*cking with young Jedi, just for the hell of it.

Well shit. This is so goddamn good. Now my weekend plans are ruined. I have to spend the rest of the day rubbing myself in this like a dog in another dog's poop.

This led me back to "Bushes of Love" which will now be in my head all week.

This led me back to "Bushes of Love" which will now be in my head all week.

I've only recently stopped bursting into "La-Bibbida-Bibbidum" on a regular basis.

That's how they do it...on Broadway.
