I am apparently missing something about this video. What bothers me is that I don't know what it is I am missing. Anyone?

I can't place his accent and it's driving me mad and that is my entire takeaway from this video.

Yeah, it seems like his failing to do an actual American accent is part of the joke? But I feel like he'd be exaggerating it more if it was.

I'm reading the action star's name as an anagram-esque for Dolph Lundgren???? is that part of the joke? anyone?

Yeah, I'm confused by this. That said, Scrooged is probably my fav Christmas movie ever. I have no idea why.

There was a guy I used to work with. When something funny would happen, or somebody would crack a joke, he didn't laugh. He just said "humor". In doing so, as I see it, he was acknowledging the presence of what people would generally accept as humor, or recognizing your attempt at such. "I see what you were going for", he seemed to say, "and while I don't, myself, find it funny, I recognize your effort." Making him actually laugh (which I did once or twice) really felt like an accomplishment.

I watched this, and though to myself, "humor".

I liked it. For me it falls somewhere between Charlie Brooker and Andy Zaltzman, but is no worse for that. Hints of more old-fashioned things too, particularly certain aspects of The Fast Show.

I enjoyed the avalanche of silly wordplay/borderline gibberish/cheerful bullshit. It was a bit like that experience I get when I hear someone speaking Dutch and the superficial similarity to English tricks me into imagining that its meaning is only just out of reach. Speaking of which, it's a comedy "generic European" accent, in keeping with the Dolph Lundgren reference.

And I too chuckled at "lobster infested streets".

Just imagining someone doing this makes me wince with embarrassment.

And this is why YouTube's speed controls are so important. One yearns, however, for the missing 4x option.
