Thank you! I love Mountain Stage. One of my most listened to podcasts. For anyone else that likes Mountain Stage, I highly recommend Woodsongs.

Aoife O’Donovan is fantastic. As is Sarah Jarosz, who's also included on this list. Aofie and Sarah are now regular members of the house band for the new Prairie Home Companion hosted by Chris Thile, which anyone who likes this list should check out if they haven't given the post-Garrison version of the show a listen yet.

Aoife and Sarah also play in a trio with Sara Watkins called I'm With Her which you may enjoy. Everything on this list is top notch.

I also went and boughten an album from one of O'Donovan's projects (Sometymes Why), because when you have an all-women band described as "American folk noir" I am incapable of saying no, apparently. Also, I've got some driving time coming up over the holidays that will be happening in Virginia and these sounds seem like the perfect soundtrack.

Maybe I will go back to listening to PHC now that Keillor is no longer the host....

Hey, rtha--you might want to check out an earlier incarnation, Crooked Still. "Little Sadie," "Ain't No Grave," and (WOW!) "Come On In My Kitchen" are favorites of mine.
